From the date of establishment BAS is providing Comprehensive Ground Handling Services as sole provider and Airport Maintenance Services at Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi International Airport, Mazare Sharif, Afghanistan.

BAS is the first private Ground Handling Company in Afghanistan to be member of IATA since 2018 and it is an ISAGO certified Ground Handler in Afghanistan since 2018.

BAS has a bright background of providing Ground Handling Services for last 10 years through experts and certified staff by IATA Authorized training centers. Apart from providing such trainings for staff, BAS has committed to facilitate direct IATA trainings for its management out of which obtaining Ground Operations Diploma can be an excellent outcome for it.

BAS is proud to be the first Ground Handler in Afghanistan to start providing services with complete package of professionalized GSE being imported from European countries.

PFS Agents (Passenger Flight Services):

• Greet passengers.
• Deal with passenger enquiries, such as queries on departure times and changes to flights.
• Check passengers’ tickets and passports.
• Allocate seats to passengers.
• Weigh passengers’ luggage, check it in and make any excess charges if necessary.
• Print out luggage labels and attach them to the luggage.
• Issue boarding cards and collecting them while boarding.
• Ask passengers a set of questions about security and make sure that passengers have no sharp or dangerous objects.
• Prepare any necessary Documents.
• Direct passengers while being in terminal and to the boarding gate while boarding.
• Attending to all needed training respectfully by understanding the responsibility.
• Deal with late passengers.
• Handling Lost and Found or remained property from passengers in a trustworthy manner.

Doing all the related tasks under related rules and regulation considering safety and security issues.

• Doing the needed announcement and updates on FIDS under the guidance of the supervisor.
• Deal with any other tasks related to passenger services given by supervisor.

Ramp Agent:

• Monitor customer safety during boarding and deplaning and assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Marshal aircraft on the ramp and assist and direct all aircraft for parking and departing.
• Transfer of cargo and luggage between airplane and baggage area or to other airplane in a careful manner.
• Implement safe ground-handling procedures and maintenance of ground service equipment, including the performance of equipment checks on daily basis.
• Implementing all company policies and procedures as well as airlines policies related to ground handling.
• Service aircraft as needed by equipment and related staff with a good behavior with airline agent.
• Operate only that equipment for which you are authorized by your supervisor, operating the equipment in a professional and proper manner.
• Constantly communicate with flight crew personnel.
• Reporting any unexpected issue immediately to the reporting position.

For PFS Agent:

Hich School or Higher Degree

Good Communication Skill

Well knowledge of computer programs such as MS Office and DCS Systems

Well knowledge of English Language.

For Ramp Agents:

Hich School or Higher Degree

Well Knowledge of English

Good Driving Skills (both Automatic & Gear Vehicles)
